In September last year personal problems really messed me up I started not eating but working out 2 hours a day I went down to 15 stone 10 but as I got better started eating again and put a stone back on. Now my ratings perfect 90-95% of the time I'm a roofing labourer so my job is pretty extreme in terms of fitness and every Monday the scales are still the same. I barely drink cut out all takeaways snacks fuzzy drinks what else can I possibly do?

Hi and welcome, Jivis
You can stop dieting! You're a classic yoyo dieter! Go at it 100%, lose the weight, stop, regain the weight, start again, but this time do the whole manic exercise thing, lose the weight, stop, regain the weight, etc, etc. Every time you do that, you mess up your metabolism a little bit more and make it much harder.
It's time to start thinking healthy, sustainable lifestyle
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run a weigh-in every day of the week and you'd be very welcome to join one of them. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.
We also run a Daily Diary, where we share our meal and exercise plans for the day. It's a great place to get ideas and to keep us focused. The link can also be found in Events.
Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
You may need to calorie count if you are not doing that already. Really boring, but then you will know precisely how much you are consuming. Alcohol in particular is so calorie-laden that it's depressing to even think about it. You've got a physically demanding job, which is a definite advantage.
When I first joined here I wasn't eating enough calories as stated by the NHS bmi calculator to lose weight. I was only having two meals a day and was having around 900-1000 Cals a day. I was never losing weight. When I mentioned it on here like you have someone told me that this was why I wasn't losing any weight. If you don't eat enough your body thinks you are starving it and turns what you do eat into body fat instead so that it is able to continue. I checked out how many calories I should have and upped the amount of calories I was having and then started losing weight. I have now lost 1st12lbs. Good luck with your journey.
I can understand why you would think this but do make sure this was the amount it showed for you to lose weight because it gives you two amounts and you should eat somewhere in between this amount. I can understand why you would think that you would balloon but don't forget originally men should eat 2500 calories anyway and you are probably in the obese or overweight range like I am. This means to start with you eat more and then keep checking the bmi and it will drop as your weight drops. It does give the amounts for you personally mainly as to your weight etc. That's why it asks the info it does to make sure it gets the calories right for each person. Give it a go for about two weeks and see what happens. If it doesn't work stop it and speak to your doctor.
I recalculated it's about 1900 calories I need to eat and I've been eating about 1200 so I am massively down I will try your theory though something's got to work thank you
