Restart after a breakdown

Hi everyone I am back again, I did try last year to get my weight down and was doing well but hit a bit of a bump, over the year I put weight back on but have managed to stay 1 stone down on last years starting weight and am now 1 st 7.75lbs down on last years start weight of 19st 8.5lbs Coming off the diet I began to see just how much it affected me, I have a lot of mental health issues that have kept me housebound for several years, I am constantly tired, bloated and have a general ill feeling, my panic attacks increased. When I cut back on sugars and fats I felt awake in the mornings and my bloating had gone, so here I am starting over again, also I had to cancel my wedding and put it back a year as my dad is very unwell at the moment due to being given six months to live 2 years ago when his treatment for small cell prostate cancer stopped also I am being reassessed by my mental health team for new medication,

Really hoping I can do this,

Morning Hidden

Welcome back, lovely to see you here again. Sorry you have been having such a hard time of things going on over the last year.

Well done with losing 1.5lbs so far and would you like a 1 stone badge to celebrate your achievements up to now?

A few things have changed on the forum since you were last here so I will give you the normal welcome so you can get up to date with everything.

Come and join in with today's weigh in to record your starting weight, you can find it on the Home page on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

Really great that you're back in the forum, Hidden - and I'd like to wish you success with your goals.

I am sorry to hear your Dad is unwell, and also that you have postponed your Wedding - but I hope you get on well with the new medication, once you've been reassessed, and I'd like to wish you well with your goals.

Zest :-) (formerly known as 'Lowcal' - incase you're wondering who I am). :-)

Thank you, I did wonder where everyone had gone as its all changed a bit. I am going at a slower pace this time just hoping for 1 or 2 lb a week or to stay even,

I think that's a sensible rate of weight loss per week. :-) Hope you have a lovely weekend, it's here! I love weekends. :-)
