I have also joined today. I have been walking since January 9th almost every day in an effort to get myself fit and more active and have lost 6kg so far. I'm looking to get some encourage, guidance and information from others on here as I'd still like to lose at least another 10kg.

Welcome to the weight loss forum. Well done on losing 6kgs you are doing brilliant.

We're delighted that you've chosen to join us and would be interested to know how you found out about Health Unlocked and this forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

I only joined this week, but am getting into it now, love using this forum for advice and.support.

I feel the only way is to be true to yourself, and write everything down that you eat/drink, it is easy to forget that odd rich tea biscuit etc.. and soon these extras add up and stop or hinder the weightloss.

Well done for losing 6kg already, that's a fantastic achievement, and walking everyday.

We are looking after our sons dog, so it has made us get up and walk for longer, as we feel that we are letting her down if we don't . It also speeds up the 10000 steps on the fitbit.
