Thank you Rose
Hi and welcome, maybe you should look at exercise from a different angle, find something you enjoy (swimming, running, cycling) and have fun, I absolutely hate exercise but I walk, swim and cycle for fun, it's made so much difference, it's amazing what you can trick your mind into doing.
Good luck
Kat xx
Thank you Kat. I'm going to get my bike out tomorrow and give it a go! Everyone should stay off the roads near me for their own safety
😂😂 I'm sure you'll be fine xx
Judging by most of the people you see out shopping these days, carrying a little extra weight is only too "normal"!! However, it is good that you value your health and we all need to learn to like ourselves so that we can be confident and self-assured. I hope you can find an activity that "floats your boat" as they say......in fact, have you considered rowing? Also, there is walking, swimming, horse-riding, cycling, tennis, even gardening...good luck with finding the one you enjoy!
Thank you, I do like swimming and go often but will have a go at some of your suggestions too, well maybe not horse riding as I'm a bit scared!!
Hi Lumpy01
Just finished the 12 week and Lost 3 Stone. Its take a Combination of Diet ,Exercise and Portion size control. I think Portion Size is where lots of People go wrong. As for exercise I did not like running, So I got on my Bike. Started of at 5 mile a Day .and do strength exercise with coach on
Hasfit on You Tube.
Good Luck .
Kind Regards Phil62
P,S Now do 100 miles a week
Thank you Phil62. Congratulations on losing 3 stone, thats alot of weight! I'm sure you're right that its a combination of all three. 100 miles a week is very impressive, I was thinking a lot less 😯... I had better up my goals!
Any activity is beneficial, no matter how little. Try checking out parkrun too
I used to hate exercise and then I joined my local gym. I started out doing 30 mins 3 times a week whether it was treadmill (I can't run for toffee so walked on it instead), exercise bike or cross trainer. But due to a foot injury and I'll health I haven't been in months and I actually miss it. Think I'm on the road to recovery now so I'll be going back and starting again, and I'll throw in some swimming and aqua fit or Zumba too.
Good luck with your weight loss and exercise journey
Thanks for your reply, I hope you recover soon. I used to swim 5 days a week but it got too much of the same thing so I'm going to have to try all things and see whats enjoyable. You are very inspiring to get to a point where you now enjoy exercise.
Hi, and welcome. The best thing you can do is pick something you enjoy, so try different things, or just walk to the shops or somewhere nice and maybe treat yourself with non-food or drink items once there. Landscape photography, perhaps? Difficult to suggest something without knowing much about you, but I'm sure something will appeal if you have a wide enough look. Good luck, and keep posting!
