I managed to loose 6st recently with SlimmingWorld, but found it impossible to maintain and have now gained 4st. So that's my goal to get that back off and to help teach my children healthy eating so they don't have the same battles I have had. π

Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Hi Natalie - It's my first day too! Like you I previously lost 5st at a slimming club and have regained 3st. Looking at the positives: we both know we can do it and we're still 2st lighter than before π - I need to lose about 6/7stone in total π¬ Anyway, just wanted to say hello π and best of luck from a fellow newbie. Sue.
I haven't properly read through the 12 week plan yet, although I am notoriously poor and sticking to filling in charts, recording food etc. But maybe given my poor weight loss history I should make more of an effort on that front.
I am but not 100%. I need to do this for life so trying to change my whole relationship with food. I'm trying to base it on how "normal" people deal with food.
Hi Natalie
I have also just joined. I haven't lost as much weight as you, nowhere near!! I've been referred by my GP, I'm currently in the Tier3 programme, and hopefully I'll be getting my stomach operation in the near future. I'm struggling to loose the weight because of my back problems, exercise is tricky. Well just wanted to say hello, It's nice to be able to 'talk' to people with the same 'problems'.
Its called tier3 weight and wellbeing pathway.... ive been referred by my gp. I have to follow the programme for the minimum of 6 months. They basically help you change your habbits. I have to loose 5% of my bodyweight before they decide which operation is suitable for me. I attend weekly sessions, where i get weight and have a chat with other people. It really helps!! Have you spokento your gp?
Yeah they gave me tablets as well, orlistat, but i dont think they're working that well to be honest. I've been referred because of the problems I've got with my back and i have to loose the weight.
I thought it wasn't possible for me to loose my weight as I just thought it was my body shape. Then I found the 5.2 diet which allowed me to eat normally apart from 2 days. It worked to start with then I became so bad on the other 5 days I started putting the weight back on. This year I discovered the 12 week NHS plan which has helped me loose over 6kg since mid Jan. I've realised it's not so much about how much I eat but what I eat. So I've been focusing on replacing crap with healthier options to get my 5 a day as well as trying to exercise more. Unfortunately this week has been my 1st week after finishing the plan and due to recovering from a sickness bug i decided not to fast or diet. I've reverted back to old form but i want to get back on track next week, so hopefully I haven't gained too much in this weeks splurge. Good luck with your journeys, I do feel the support here as well as changing your attitude to food is the way forward for us all.
Just restarting my weight loss journey (have yo-yo'd around my 1st starting weight 2 years ago and currently sit at 5lbs heavier - so not too awful, but still I hope to be more successful this time!)
Thought I'd say hi as you were one of the few people I messaged last time and we were in a similar position back then. Well. I hope life is treating you well and if, like me, you're looking to restart the old flab fight, know you're not alone
