Hello this is Deemol

Hi Deemol
I've only just joined too, I'm a femaleI in my 60s and think I'm 30 lol. I began my diet 8 weeks ago and in that time have lost over one stone. I need to lose one more stone.
It's my own diet plan, just counting calories, but not strictly, just portion control and cutting sugar and excessive fat. I have all the diet/menu books there are, but follow two great recipe books which are low in calories and the food is really fantastic, filling and easy to make.
Anyway, I've gone on a bit. I wish you success in your diet, enjoy the process.
Hi Chuckyegg, if you shout loud enough I'm sure an administrator will supply you with a '1 Stone' badge if you wanted one!
Hi Tigger
Many thanks. I'll introduce myself properly here on these pages as I just jumped in with these replies and didn't get a chance to look around yet.
Then maybe I'll request a badge. It does feel like a bit of an achievement to have lost a stone, but more than that, it just feels so much better physically not carrying all that excess weight around. 🙂
More than just 'a bit of an achievement'. It's a great achievement because it shows that you've managed to maintain your plan over more than just a few weeks.
I always imagine my weight loss in terms of the number of equivalent bags of sugar. Then I imagine them in a rucksack on my back day and night.
Have a good weekend.
Welcome Deemol and good luck!
Sorry to hear about the arthritis slowing you down

Hi and welcome Deemoll
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
