So once again here I am, doing everything right, weighing everything, eating healthy, and exercising and still only 0.2Ib lost..................it's enough to go on a binge and keep going..........sorry I know its all doom and gloom from me all the time I check in, but I was so hopeful I was going to have a good weight loss this week.

How frustrating! What week are you on? It took my weight loss 3/4 weeks to get going! Try mixing things up a bit by eating differently, maybe cut out bread for a few days and have wraps or Melba toasts instead, increase protein, cut down on carbs, cut out biscuits altogether and have fruit. Anything to kick start your metabolism into having to work on something different from the norm. If you usually have cereal for breakfast, swop to porridge or yoghurt and fruit or boiled egg, if you have a sandwich for lunch have home made soup instead etc etc just to get things moving in the right direction. Good luck!
Don't give up now, or all your efforts thus far are wasted! On top of that, bingeing is just punishing yourself, and why would you want to do that? It WILL pay off in the end! Try some of Caz's suggestions, give your system something different to contend with. We are all looking forward to when you post that it's working at last!
MFP has just informed me that I have now logged on for 50 days in a row. I have only lost 5lb in all that time (admittedly Christmas and New Year screwed up my efforts somewhat), but you can see my journey is also slow, but I know I will get there in the end. It's not a race!
Thank you for advice, as I stated last week as I am now eating three meals a day I am more hungry, to combat this I am drinking loads of water, I have cut out bread and potatoes which are my favs.............I am on anti depressants and think they make me put on weight, so I have been told, but I am not able to come off them at the moment. I log everything on my fitbit and according to that I should be losing more weight than I am. I am only asking for a one to two pound a week.
It will happen, Jayney, I'm convinced of it!
Hi Jayney, just had a quick look at your profile to remind myself of what you have said previously. I was thinking about your shoulder pain and the anti depressants which are probably because of your pain - I was wondering if you had seen the programme last September with Dr. Chris Van Tulleken: "The doctor who gave up drugs". (You can probably get it on catch up tv or you tube). In fact he doesn't give up drugs himself, he gets his patients to give them up, including one patient with chronic shoulder pain and another with depression. Basically he prescribed physiotherapy and exercise for them - that sounds very simplistic, you'd have to watch it to see exactly how he approaches the problems, but the success and the relief and happy faces of his patients was amazing. I can vouch for this approach myself having had terrible sciatica last year. The physio was excruciating to start with, but I never miss doing my daily exercises now!
It's just a thought, tell me to mind my own business if you like, but maybe hopefully this might be helpful x
Yes I did see that it is not only my shoulder that I have severe pain in, I have fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis in knees, neck back ect..........I live in an isolated area my nearest swimming pool is 57 mile round trip for me also for the shopping....I do not mind you talking to me at all.thank you for your advice x
His name's Sid Vicious, (my son named him years ago) but he is the softest cat you could imagine!
I also didn't lose any weight last week, which was my week 4, wonder when most people get their stagnation stage...
Hello, are you counting your calories, or just having a cut down? If you aren't counting, it might be worth having a week where you do weigh and measure everything you eat, so you can see just what you get for your calorie allowance. You might just be taking in too many calories at the moment, and this is reflected in a slow weight loss.
Calorie counting is boring and a tedious chore, but it is really the only way to be sure that you will lose weight, because you can't accidentally kid yourself about what you are taking in.
Yes to all using my fitbit
Keep going - a loss is a loss - and 0.2 each week for a year is still 10.4. Good luck!
Why don't you do a food diary, it helps you to see what you are eating every day, they do this for the first month at S.W. It helps you realise you are or are not eating the correct things.
Don’t be so hard on your self!!! It sounds like you are going all the right things!!! I stayed the same for almost a month and then I started shifting again!!! Lots of people gave me so much encouragement to keep going on here! So stick with it!!!
