Hi M1at
Welcome to the weight loss forum.
Everyone here is very friendly and supportive.
Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.
Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.
We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.
To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.
Have a good first week.

Hi M1at welcome to the forum I too have health issues and suffer from depression and anxiety. Since having these things i was never motivated enough to do anything about the weight that i had piled on, until i found this forum. The support on here is amazing and you are never on your own
I am 4lbs away from losing my second stone and would never have lost this weight without the help.and encouragement from the lovely people on here. You can do this and i wish you all the best on your weight loss journey
Have a good week
Hi I like you suffer from depression and have for a long time I find that when I weigh less I feel better in myself but to be honest it's the exercise that helps the most you feel great after it as it releases endorphins. The problem can be getting motivated if your not in a good frame of mind but even a 20 minute walk can make a huge difference you don't have to over do it just take it easy. Nuts and seeds are also good as they have magneseum in them and that also helps lift your mood. I try to chop some walnuts into my salad but don't over do the nuts as they are high in fat. Good luck with your wight loss journey I think this site will really help you.
