They say (whoever they are) if you write down and share your weight you're more inclined to change it so here goes. I'm 11st 6lbs (never publically announced that before gulp!) and for a 5ft 4in female that's overweight. I know it, the experts tell me it. I joined this group yesterday and love reading the posts they are very motivational. I've tried WW it worked for a while then I put all the weight back on. I'm currently on SW which seems to work if only I could follow the plan 😆. Apparently you shouldn't eat too much chocolates or drink wine - who knew lol. I joined a gym and never went that's £50 a month to have a plastic membership card in my purse. Joking aside. I want to get to 9 stone 10lbs. That's my target weight. So here goes...

It definitely helps to 'own' the number but not let it define you 😊
My approach is to focus on one thing at a time, create good eating habits, then exercise habits, enjoy the process and try not to stress about the numbers 😊
You can do this SukiV 😊
Onwards and downwards 😊
Hi SukiV and well done for posting. Good luck with it all.
I hope you're kidding about the choccies and wine
Good luck. Try the NHS website for 12 week weight loss programme and for exercise programmes. X
Well done you for taking the 1st step. You will be fine. The support here is very good sorry I meant Excellent. Good luck with your journey and all the best for the future you. 🙂G
9st 10 is also my target weight! I mostly gave up the gym, apart from my swimming membership and a weekly Zumba class that I just pay for. Couldn't justify the costs. Good luck with your goal!
You know I've always felt embarrassed about my weight gain... like somehow it was a life failure on my part... yet when I look back in retrospect I realise health and many medications and lack of social life did play a big part... this is the first time I have put my weight out there publicly as it were... so I know how brave you are being... and yes I do think there is a kinda freedom in that... a bit of letting go.. of having to deal with it all on your own... I am sure you are doing the right thing.. and I have only just joined and had so many wonderful 'welcomes' to the group.. It is a wonderfully supportive non judgemental environment... I am sure you will do well and wish you all the luck and love in the world to enjoy your journey.. all that matters is you start and keep plodding along...
