Hi I am new here, I am trying to get back on track with my weight and eating habits. I recently had a baby i am 4 moths PP. Before i got pregnant i weight 125, now after pregnancy and having the luxury to eat everything my heart desired, i want to get back to the weight i was. I am currently 155lb. People try to put me down telling me i look fat and what not. It gets to me at times, but i shouldn't let it bother me. I'm here trying to make a change. What are some suggestions?

4 months is not long. It can take a year depending on the person . Just try to eat healthily and keep a food diary is a good start. Put baby in the pram and get out walking ,don't listen to other people either , are they so fabulous to criticize you .! Ignore them keep posting on here everyone is so friendly . Good luck x
Thank you, i will definitely start walking more often and eating healthier!
Hi congrats on your little one usually it takes more or less same time you put the baby weight on 9 months so give it min same time to come down. Pushing pram around should help alot join a pram walking in the park if you have within local community should be free and also you meet new mothers just like you. Good luck i am almost same weight after my 2nd one and working hard to loose the weight.

Well....I'm on here to lose the baby weight too...except my 'baby' is 9 years old!! So give yourself a huge pat on the back for even thinking about amid all the chaos and emotions that is motherhood. Give yourself plenty of time. You can probably start by making some simple healthy changes to your usual diet, for example swapping in brown bread instead of white etc. Healthy snacks of fruit, nuts, yoghurt. Nothing too time consuming.
My top tip is probably never to even start 'finishing off' your kids plate. They WILL leave food, and yes it IS a waste - but if you start finishing up their food its the road to doom!!! Just bin it. Its OK.
Good luck x
Hi genesis7 , may I ask if you are feeding the baby yourself? (You don't need to ask that on here, and that's not to be judgmental, I only fed 1 out of 6 children myself). If so then eating healthily will be great for you both, but remember you will need to consume lots of calories for you and baby. If your not feeding, eating healthily will be great for you and creating fantastic habits for you to continue once baby is eating real food.
Don't worry about what negative people say, they are sooooooo unimportant! All that matters is you and your little family, so enjoy these precious times as the little ones don't stay little for long
I had a C-Section and for some reason my milk production was really low so i was feeding him both formula and BM. Thank you, Eating healthier is definitely what i am striving for. But you are so right! ill just enjoy the time i have with him because before i know it he'll grow older
Yes, indeed. I should know I've had 6 children and the time has flown. Now I have grandchildren and time seems to be going even faster!
Eating healthily is the most important and most of the other stuff will automatically follow when the time is right. This forum is great for support and you can get lots of healthy eating tips.
Happy memory making with your little one
Congratulations genesis7 I hope you are enjoying your new little one and getting the rest and support you need well away from the hurtful tongues you mentioned. Enjoy this new chapter and don't let anyone rob you of the happiness you should have.
