I had a burst appendix removed five weeks ago and I've not been here much since. I've been in quite a lot of pain after any exercise and comforting myself at the ice cream van. I've managed to maintain my weight at around 100kg but hope to get back to some kind of loss soon. Reading the posts here helps

i had mine removed last year . TBH the recovery period was much longer than i thought. Mentally it really shook me and knocked my confidence. Four weeks after and I went back to work - it was too soon.
I would say a good six weeks - so continue to look after yourself-and give yourself plenty of TLC.
I went back seven weeks after mine and it was too soon. Though the constant sickness I had after meant I lost 1 1/2 stone and was borderline underweight. Can I have my appendix out a second time?!
Hope you're back on top form soon ! Well done on maintaining your weight. Take care of yourself x
Glad the op went well but don't rush things, just focus on getting better. ♥

Take lots of care and get well soon x
Sounds awful, such pain. The up side is you are here to tell us about it and get back on track. Don't push the exercise. I stated with a ten minute walk (stroll) after my operation and can now do an hour at a good pace.
Take care of yourself and say goodbye to the ice-cream van.
