Hello Everyone, This is my first post to the community and I am not used to being part of one. Anyway here goes!
I am 57 obese and have decided for health reasons I really need to do something about my weight and fitness. I gave up smoking 18 months ago and this is the next step to a healthier me.
I will be starting week 4 of the nhs plan tomorrow. Unfortunately this week I have not done any exercise due to being so tired, I have no energy at all, I also have a sore hip and shoulder. As I am exercising at home I've been using my exercise bike every day for 10 - 15 mins and on a Tuesday I look after my granddaughter and walk her in the stroller to playgroup which is about 30 mins there and back on top of the lifting and playing we do throughout the day (she is walking).
I know I need to build up my muscles a bit, do you think it is better to use dumbells or resistance bands and if so can you reccommend any. And is there anything I can do to prevent this tiredness. I have stuck to the 1400 calories a day which were reccommended and lost 7 lbs in the first week and 2lb in the second week so far, my next weigh in is tomorrow.
Sorry to ramble on, but I could really do with some advice right now. I hope everyone else is doing well.
