Week two plateau

Hi everybody. After an encouraging 1.7kg on the first week, i feel frustrated because i did not lose a gram during week 2. But then again I had my period and felt bloated.

Do you think period is the reason why I did not shred any weight, even though I ate healthy and did my daily exercises?

Oh yes. If you research a bit online you'll find period definitely impact your weight, well done on the first week! That's almost my 2 week's weightoss

That was a good weight loss for week one and it sometimes happens then that there is no loss week two. So hang on in there, keep doing everything right and you should be well rewarded in week three. Keep us posted!

Keep going, you lost well in the first week, your body will be adjusting - it happened to me in week 3. Period can also impact. You can do it 🤞

Hello buzon73 Welcome to the Weight Loss Forum ☺

Have you had a chance to have a good look around the forum yet? the Newbies post (in the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) is a good startimg point. Are you following the NHS 12 week plan weight loss plan? This is an excellent plan with weekly email support.

Do you know about the weigh in threads? These are held on 6 days of the week and you are welcome to join. ☺ there are also regular challenges and progress 'badges' including a 'Newbie' one for when you first join the forum. If you would like one just ask ☺

I wouldn't worry about not losing this week after such a fantastic loss in your first week ☺ It can happen like that 😕 Don't forget to take your initial measurements and photographs as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating.

We are a very friendly group so please ask if you have any questions or would like a badge ☺

Best wishes

Anna

Thank you so much to all of you for your quick answers and support. I shall continue with the NHS 12 week plan weight loss plan, and I am very positive about it. Ultimately i want this plan to become a way of life, and therefore i am not eager on reducing drastically my calorie intake. Everything I do now should be sustainable on the long run.

Thanks again!

:-)

Hi :) I have that problem, I put on anywhere between 1-3 pounds when I am on my period so don't let it get you down, it's natural to be a bit heavier at that time of month

Persevere and you will see the results on your next weigh-in 😃
