Hey everyone. So I am trying desperately to shift weight. I’ve been trying for 8/9 weeks(ish). I’ve been doing the couch to 5k, Courtney black shred also so working out 2-3 times a day. Diet wise I’ve been staying in a calorie deficit, eating without fasting times, cutting down carbs and trying not to drink (I know I should probably chose one diet but I’m hedging my bets). I lost a stone within the first 5 weeks but then i plateaued. I thought maybe I was doing too much so I stopped the work ours just did cardio and walking but kept calories low (and all the other diet bits). Still stayed the same - actually put on 2lbs although I had my period which seems to totally mess everything up. I did a juice cleanse for 3 days and this shifted quite a bit. So now I am 14 stone 2. I know weight isn’t everything but I really want to shit a few lbs to get to the 13 stone bracket. You know that feeling when you hit the next bracket - it’s amazing. So essentially in my long winded way I’m just seeing if anyone has tips or if you’re in the same boat.
I’ve always been trying to lose weight but now we want to try for a baby so my aim is to be within healthy BMI, hell at this stage I would take overweight since I’m in the obese category.
Anyway if you have been, or are, in a plateau I’d be grateful for comments ☺️
Thanks ❤️

You sound very active, which has so many benefits, but when it comes to weight loss, what and how we eat is far more important. If you share your meal plans on the Daily Diary, I'm sure you'll get some helpful feedback.
You'll find all the information you need about the forum in our Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... including a Welcome message, the Daily Diary and the current weigh in: a good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.
Take your time exploring. This gives you a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true and, along with Pinned Posts, will show you how things work. I hope you'll become an active member and we will see you joining in around the forum 😊

Hey I think maybe you should research juice cleanses if you are indeed going to advise on them. It’s not fruit juice from a shop. It has all the vitamins/nutrients/pro biotics etc. Very little sugar. I appreciate not everyone will think they work but it doesn’t starve you or mean lack of nutrients you get everything you need. I’m not going to explain further because Im not here to push my dieting techniques just to get help from others who May have plateaued.
I really Appreciate the comment but hoping for some advice on what I can do to lose weight not what I can not do.
That's fine, you're welcome to do eat or drink whatever you feel is best. As you suggest I'll comment no further, as losing weight consistently for 50 weeks gives me a poor understanding of plateau. I wish you luck.
I understand that you were just asking for someone to say that they too might have plateaued and sorry re one reply. I think a 3 days juice is good. My daughter went on a Spanish retreat where they did a lot of juicing too and veggie food no carbs. I cant comment as I've not yet weighed myself. Sometimes when you first lose weight I've read it can be water weight. Try the links too that the administrator advised . Good luck one man on here did the LCHF diet for 5 weeks and never lost a thing but he carried on and suddenly started losing. Perhaps you actually need to eat a few more calories as perhaps your body is hanging on cos with all the exercise it thinks your starving itself. Yes periods can put on weight !! Women suffer more than men!!
