Hi. I am just finishing my first week and finding it quite tiresome having to think about every morsel I consume. Still having just turned 50 I'm determined to be fifty, fit & fabulous instead of fifty fat & flabby. Onwards and upwards. 😀

Don't forget to take your initial measurements and photographs as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating. ☺

It quickly becomes a habit and you don't even think about it. Also you soon get to know the calorific value of the things you eat regularly. Hang on in there!
Definitely gets easier. Sounds like you are determined so i am sure you will reach your goals. You can do this ☺
I know what you mean, I just can't get the enthusiasm to calorie count so I avoid carbohydrate/sugars and otherwise eat as I want. I've lost 2 stone so it's worked for me 😀
The year I turned 50 was the year I decided to "go for it" after having been overweight all of my life (since the age of 9).
I posted my journey a few weeks ago, but you may like to read it!
Welcome - and the counting gets easier as you start to know your favourites and hopefully develop new eating habits. I started Monday week ago and have been eating ready meals which tell me how many calories are in them for dinner - not an option for everyone, but OH and I are retired and he often just has sandwiches. Keep at it - and hopefully come Easter both of us will have shed a lot of pounds! Good luck.
