Someone mentioned to me they have an inspirational item of clothing! Something that they keep in view at home to motivate them to keep going!
I have this wonderful jewel blue tea length dress, slightly 1940s inspired in style! I'm aiming to be in it for when I plan my engagement party (I'm determined to have one)!
What do you guys want to slim into?
Ps. The picture does not do the dress any justice on colour ๐
Mine was a pair of white jeans, I was thrilled when I got back into them, unfortunately they are now too big ๐ You will fit in your lovely dress very soon!
Good plan. I am a 20 now so will buy an 18, 16 and 14. Will look in sales!
What do I want to slim into? Hard to think of one thing - half my wardrobe, I think! I have so many lovely things which just don't look lovely currently with my Michelin midriff and Pirelli belly!

Haha! Love the reference to the rolls! Mine are like the inflatable swimming rings! ๐
When I began last September as I weighed each week I would also try on several clothes and one particular belt . As these items gently became comfortable and I could see the more holes through the belt it was a great encouragement. This was a help to my weight loss and confidence !
I love the idea of trying on with every weigh in! Fantastic motivation to see how clothes are fitting different as sometimes it's difficult to see just how far we've come! ๐
When I'd lost weight and had bought something new to wear I'd go and put it on if I had the urge to eat in the evening especially, and this encouraged me to stick to the plan! seeing the visible results really helps ๐
I bought a cycling Jersey in an 18 to wear on my first cycling event. It has a lovely print, it's yellow and green with bits of paisley, feminine but not pink and girly (I'm too old for girly pink ๐) .
My inspiration was a swimsuit .... ANY swimsuit ....just as long as I felt ok and confident enough to walk a few metres into the sea in 35ยฐC instead of always hiding and sweltering under a sarong.
I have a gorgeous Ted Baker skirt that I bought in the sales. It didn't fit when I bought it but I am determined to be able to wear it comfortably this summer (if not before).
Wearing much more fitted clothes, wide belts to define my re-found waist is a novelty and useful for making some of my bigger dresses wearable. I love my knee high black suede new boots, used to have great difficulty finding any that were wide enough calf before. Can even wear them over skinny jeans now, a year ago I wouldn't have believed it possible!
I have a couple of coats, one a lovely bright green waterproof and the other a gorgeous red wool one - I've a bit to go but it will be so lovely to wear something smart instead of my tatty old fleece or my one size fits all marquee of a cagoule - mind you I'll lay money on getting to that size in the summer when I hopefully won't need a coat most of the time
