You're doing it together and you've cut out the junk so that's a really good start! getting moving more doesn't have to mean committing to yoga everyday (tho yoga is greatand highly recommended! If only I had the balance for it lol) but it can also help to go for walks at lunch, take the stairs when you can, go for an evening walk together to get those steps in! Every little bit adds up and it helps.
My advice is to plan plan meals, plan snacks and plan fitness. It doesn't have to be rigid, but having an idea of what you are going to eat each day a) stops you from getting fed up deciding and reaching for the junk food and b) gives you something yummy to look forward to.
I'm sure you'll get loads of advice and good tips on here. Well done on starting your journey and good luck!
I too suffer with anxiety and I have found yoga to be just amazing in so many ways. I use 'Yoga with Adrienne' videos on You Tube, she is fantastic and does quite a few videos for beginners. She also does yoga for anxiety/depression.
