Hi Kolli I've got a cross trainer in the basement but to be honest I'd rather be out running than use the bloomin thing - I'll use it in a lightning storm if I can't get out running but I find it so boring. I'd love to know how you keep yourself motivated - I've tried watching videos, listening to music but so far those have failed to endear me to the machine.

It's such a beautiful day. Get your boots on and get outside and enjoy it! Angusina is right, it's no good promising yourself you will exercise if you don't absolutely love it. We all need to choose something which we know we will stick at. I know for me it is walking my dog. I've tried the gym and swimming, but couldn't keep it up because it was so boring, and cost me money. Walking is free!

It will help you burn calories which helps towards weight loss. I'm not sure it's enough on its own however. :) as long as you're watching what you eat alongside exercising then that should help you shift weight.

I think it's good to have a variety of exercises to do so that you don't get bored but I do love a cross trainer! I could do it for ages and not get too bored (tho I didn't do it everyday). And it always feels quite intense. Don't try to do too much too fast and if you find it too much to do it everyday, maybe go for a walk every other day or do a fitness dvd instead so your motivation doesn't dwindle :)
