Hi Sallyliz
Welcome to the forum, I hope you really like it here. I'm not familiar with the condition or medication you mention in your thread...but I hope you find a way to lose the extra weight.
Hi Sallyliz, I don't know much about tamoxifen, but I do know about hypothyroidism. I have had an underactive thyroid for 35 years, and it does not affect my weight because my doctor prescribes a thyroid substitute (in my case thyroxin). If you are taking your medication, then you are in exactly the same position as everyone else here. The only reason I still put on weight is because I put too much into my mouth! I have heard that tamoxifen might be responsible for weight gain, but I do know that an underactive thyroid is not. So maybe ask your doctor about this, or Google it. And ask on here - people are so supportive on this forum.
If I were you, I would download the NHS 12 week plan and also MyFitnesPal and start keeping tabs on your calorie intake. I know that works for me (oops! Except at Christmas!)😊
