I have always been wistful of those fit people jogging away merrily on the sidewalk, while of dragging myself to walk a shorter distance to reach my doorstep. I want to be them. I am planning on start to "learn" running, via "couch to 5K" app.
Starting tomorrow.

Dramoine - I started this in March last year. I had never ever run before and spent all of my school years avoiding any running at all ( today I celebrate my 47th birthday 🎉 ). I started as a complete non-believer, but my advice would be ...start, keep going, repeat weeks/ runs if you need to, believe in yourself, ignore people who say you can't ( especially yourself) and give it a bloody good go! You won't regret it I promise 😊
I am planing on starting it from 5th, I am at home right now, and will reach the college by 5th. So, I wouldn't have any interruptions in the midst I suppose, and a nice running ground too.
I can't understand if I am procrastinating or being strategic.
Doesn't matter what you call it, you have a plan in place! I've just been out for a run this morning, I'm a bit out of practice as I've not been very consistent since the dark mornings set in. I felt a bit despondent at only completing 3km, then gave myself a good talking to - I just ran 3k☺️☺️☺️. This time last year that would have been impossible xxx
Hi Dramoine - i fully recommend joining Couch to 5k on Health Unlocked. The support, advice and encouragement is fantastic from their members. I went from a non runner to being hooked in no time. Day 1 Run 1 is the hardest, once thats done there'll be no stopping you. Good luck☺
Although it may feel like a challenge at the outset, continue to stick with the C25K program, since it'll provide you with a solid base from which to increase your fitness.
Don't worry about speed, since that's something that can be developed after graduation; your immediate goal is to build stamina and endurance, so that the distance can be completed at the end of the 9 week program.
Regardless of the time set at the end of the program, it should be considered a PB and one to be improved upon, as running fitness continues to improve after graduation.
