Biscuits

Any suggestions as to what to do with biscuits given for Christmas ? Every Christmas my husband's children give us biscuits. He suggested I should have stipulated a wish for things like car windscreen wipers and that it is all my fault.

Take them to the church for coffee morning, give them to a homeless shelter or old people's home or youth club or hospital or RSPCA or children's home or working men's club or parent's group. Or re-gift them to a friend or take them to work and let your colleagues help themselves. Or eat them - one a day as part of your planned calories.

Get them out of the house! 😄 Biscuits are my downfall so I always pass them on - someone will love them.

Biscuit is a circuit we are ever logged in in a noway way and stay there in indulgence as biscuit is a nagging evil.

Biscuit is an angel who increases happiness and weight , not helps in managing anybody's BMI and teaches also to become selfsufficient to mind one's own business.

Give them to your doctors vets school anywhere that staff would really appreciate a cup of something and a biscuit at break time They could always be donated as raffle or tombola prizes somewhere Old people's homes charities but make sure they are out of the house as soon as possible before they make you give in to temptation 😀

Good luck !

Lots of options i.e. Food banks, care homes, hospitals, and similar or give them as New year gifts ( Ne'erday in Scotland where food or drink gifts are traditional when you visit a home for the first time after New Year ). Hope you had a lovely Christmas.

I have given mine to the local care home in the past or taken them into work and let colleagues enjoy x

Bless him, what a lovely man!

Lots of supermarkets have a crate where you can donate food for food banks. Or your local community centre or day centre would appreciate your biscuits I'm sure.

Nonsense that it's your fault, bless him. I love the reply about where to gift them to as I want to let chocs go too.

How about thanking them and sharing that you need their help in losing weight. Perhaps a basket of fruit - melon, oranges, apples etc?

We have 4 gift bags full of chocolate and biscuits. Both hubby and I are being careful so are having to think what to do. Ultimately, they are gifts of kindness and we don't want to look rude or ungrateful.

We have sorted the items by sell by dates. Short dates will either be regifted when we visit people or will be rationed out. Long dates are going to be stored away as I have three children and they always need raffle prizes, also easter isn't that far away.

Even the children have a cut off point when it comes to sweets. The plain shortbread type biscuits will be allowed in their packed lunches as they don't have chocolate on them, so that will be another avenue. Xx

PS not sure about windscreen wipers as a present! Why not ask for a cinema voucher? X

There was a large hint before Christmas by my husband as to what he wanted for Christmas rather than the usual biscuits - a theatre voucher- they could have clubbed together to do this. This time he stressed before opening the presents that we were both trying to avoid lots of biscuits. A bit embarrassing but after over 20 years of biscuit presents even he is getting fed up.

Oooooh, that's tricky. That wasn't even a subtle hint. Maybe buy it on their beha!f next year and tell them? Xx

Those I asked ( my sons) were told to avoid hand/face creams and chocs! My niece bless her ( and at some expense) bought me a raw chocolate making kit

I have been known to freeze chocolate in the past in an effort to avoid temptation....that is, until I discovered that in moments of desperation it is still actually edible frozen.... hard but edible 😁😁😁
