I want too loose weight
It probably depends on how big you are. I lost 2 stone in 7 weeks on Paleo and with more exercise.
I hear you. We are all looking for that Magic Bullet that will do the work for us. When I look at myself I think I should break My weight loss task into more manageable smaller amounts and increase my time scale rather than face such a daunting task headon. Something like 'how do I lose a stone in 12 weeks?' I am currently focusing on doing better each day and trying to have a deficit between how much I consume and how much I burn.
I would go along with this reply. It puts such pressure on you to set a high goal in a short time. So many of us have been there and done it and put the weight back on, or not done it and made ourselves feel even worse. Steady progress and Just keep staying with the programme that works for you. This forum has been one of the most encouraging places I have found advice, diet suggestions and lovely weekly support. Good luck. Hope you find the best way forward for yourself.
hi. I don't know how u lose 2st quickly.... but 1-2lbs a week is probably a better goal to set yourself initially... I've tried all the quick fix diets and yes they work but not sustainable in the long term and the weight just came back on. good luck x
If you have 4 or 5 stones to lose then you might possibly lose 2 st of that in two months on approx 1400 calories a day
But if you have only 2st to lose, then it will come off more slowly. Aim for a loss of 1-2 lbs a week, starting on 1400 cals a day and maybe reduce to 1300 for the final 7 pounds.
However ...keeping it off is a different matter. The faster you lose it the faster you can regain it. Slow and steady is the healthiest and most stable way!! We all know this deep down but everyone wants quick-fix "miracle" .
Follow the NHS 12 week plan for starters. To lose weight and keep it off needs a lifetime change, not just a quick diet. I know. I've been there, it took me ten months to lose my 30 lbs, and Ive kept it off now for over two years.
I Totally agree. I have about 7st to lose but I'm concentrating on smaller goals and aiming for 1-2lbs per week.. anything else is a bonus ! It's a completely different mindset for me than I've ever done as before as I just wanted it off quickly.. but so far the slow approach seems to be working nicely x
You're on the right track Bigmama99 . My nephew (who will be 50 next year) has been a big chap most of his adult life and a year ago he was well into the 20 + plus stones category. Then in march this year he eventually tackled it , safely and steadily, and to date has lost well over 5st. so far, and is transformed both visually and healthwise.
Hi. I'm on a low carbohydrate diet for my spine. it's hard but the weight falls off nicely . .if only I can stick to it. I loose at least a pound every 3 days with excercise of course . .some days it's more but I am a yo yo dieter so I can't share much success as yet but since Monday I'm 4lb lighter..but note by next week the weight loss won't be as drastic. home made smoothies..salads and veg with fish . I don't eat dairy and top up my protein with nuts and use dates for a sweet treats. 'pintrest' gives u a lot of tips on interesting menus and excercise . .good luck
