I ran today and it felt like I was dragging a rhino behind me! So heavy and sluggish today! Erugggh. BUT I did the whole run!

Well done Lux2017,
It's hard going isn't it. Well done even though you didn't want to go. Made me smile about felt like dragging a rhino behind!
That's how I felt today. The fog was quite bad but I made a promise to the dogs that I would take them at least a mile every day whatever the weather.
But we managed a mile and half brisk walk then come home and I did a mile on the treadmill including several minute and two minute jogs.
Just need to get used to staring at the wall while on the treadmill though : / but I am very lucky having that option.
Keep up the good work even when the rhino insists on dragging along!
Well done you too! Great that you have the dogs to get you out. My cat prefers the sofa! .....Onwards to tomorrow and a new day!
Thank you.
Our cats prefer lying in front of the fire or on the bed too! We have 4 cats 2 Border collies 1 goat 1 turkey 6 sheep and some fish. Also 6 feral cats that I feed everyday too : )
Yes lucky to have the dogs to get me out.
Let's just keep plodding on until we suddenly think oh I love going for a jog 🙂
From time to time, you'll encounter runs where everything feels completely out of sorts, regardless of how and what you attempt to counteract it (we all endure them).
Despite how wonderfully crisp the weather may have been today, it has been rather cold, so your performance may have suffered slightly as a result.
Nonetheless, despite the struggle, you didn't give up, demonstrating that you possess the will and endurance to continue when things aren't quite as fluid.
Simply put it down to experience, refusing to dwell upon it, rest up and look forward to your next run.
Thank you for the motivation!
You're welcome. Like I say, we all endure difficult runs on occasion, while not being quite able to explain or understand the reasons why.
The next time you head out, today's run will no doubt be forgotten.
Although, when running in the cold, ensure that core body temperature is raised and that muscles are warmed sufficiently.
Gradually increase the intensity of jogging upon the spot before heading out, for example, since it not only warms the muscles, it also assists in allowing your breathing to regulate far sooner when beginning to place one foot in front of the other, having already exercised your body's anaerobic energy system during your warm up.
Well done for not giving up 🐰
When I first opened this post, I thought it was maybe some kind of new fitness craze!! I have a lot of runs that feel this way, although since I have dropped below 12st, it does feel a bit easier. Although the cold weather is playing havoc with my asthma.
