Hi im Stacey and i have been trying to follow slimming world but it hasnt worked out and i need as mymuch support and guidance that i can get to help me lose weight. I am a very fussy eater and dont like many fruit or veg and i find losing weight so difficult and my doctor has said i need to lose weight as i amon the verge of being obese for my age!

Maybe you could make a list of the foods you enjoy and research the calorie content of those foods. Identify which foods are high in sugar and carbs, and which foods offer little in nutritional value.
Then, work with the remaining foods; use the internet to find interesting recipes and different cooking methods to make your meals colourful and tempting. Get an online calorie counter which will calculate recipes and portions for you so you can keep track of what you are eating and drinking.
Plan some activity into your day - walking, a bike ride, a swim perhaps?
Take control - you haven't far to go by the sounds of it.
Im not very good at taking control as i just lose myself easily and with only being 17 college and everything takes over so i dont have time to think about myself but things need to change

Take a look at the NHS 12 Week Plan, it contains recipes and exercise plans to follow for the first twelve weeks of your journey.
Take a look at the left of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile device) and find the 'Pinned Posts' section, here you can find the 'Welcome Newbie' post, various challenges that are going on in the forum (take part in whatever ones take your fancy - if any do at all!), there is also a recipe collation there and any important posts from Admin
Also to your left is the 'Topics' area, here you can find posts related to each topic, it's good if you are looking for something specific
The Monday Group Weigh In takes place weekly and is posted alternately by Zest and moreless (I suggest you follow them, they are also our site admins), a morning session post is put live just before 06:30 and runs until midday, while the afternoon session runs from midday until 18:00 on the Friday of that week - it'll be running as usual tomorrow, so, if you wish, you can go and post your starting weight there
We also run a badges system on the forum, you can start with the ‘Newbie’ badge and then work you way up to 7lbs and then in 1 stone increments, they are also avaliable in Kgs too. If you would like a badge, just let Lowcal or moreless know

Thank you so much! i find losing weight extremely difficult due to being brought up eating rubbish food so i hardly like any healthy food but i want to try and change this and i lose motivation so easily so i joined the 12 week plan and i saw this and thought i would join so i could get some support and ideas! it all sounds so so great and i cant wait to find out more! i have just joined health unlocked so at the minute i am just browsing around and getting used to it. I cant wait to see progress being made and the support from everyone! thank you once again!
Hi Stacey ! I've been on slimming world too. It was very difficult to stick to the diet and always feared being weighed weekly. But it was good, however I prefer this NHS website, and I am really enjoying using their plan so far this morning xxx Good luck btw!!
I agree it was so difficult to stick to so i thought i would give this a try and see if calorie counting worked out better for me instead as well as swapping foods xxx
