I want to lose weight

Hi, I just joined in. Although my BMI calculator says I am fine I have 10 kg more than the weight I was used to be when I was younger. The extra 10 kg make me feel incredibly uncomfortable.

You have done the right thing joining in, I'm really enjoying this warm helpful community πŸ™‚ Never joined anything like this before but definitely gives you inspiration to want to reach your goal.

I can understand the extra 10kg making you feel uncomfortable. I have 2 stone to loose and this is my 5th day so very early days for me too.

There will be hills to climb but think how good it will feel when we step on the scales to see the numbers coming down πŸ™‚

I decided last night that I'm going to pick one of my favourite items of clothing that is still to tight and try it on each week to tell me how I'm doing πŸ™‚

The other good idea is to take a pic of yourself now and again in a few weeks time. They say a picture can tell a thousand words πŸ™‚

So please stick with us now you have been brave enough to join us.

Good luck on you weight loss journey and look forward to reading any tips you may have and your progress /problems if you wish to share.

I REALLY like your idea of picking something thats too tight and trying it on each week! Thats a great Idea - I've chosen my favourite skirt which I'd love to wear on Christmas Day, and a new waistcoat which I bought in an optimistic frame of mind, but quite frankly its impossible to wear and still breathe. Great motivation. Thank you!!!

I get what you mean. Even though I currently have a BMI of 20, only a little while ago it was 18.5. Some might say I don't really need to lose weight but I feel like a fat balloon. However, I used to have an eating disorder so I need to be careful. That's why I've set myself a reasonable goal of losing 4 kg and plan to lose weight the healthy way this time round.
