I started my fitness and diet plan at the end of April after my weight slowly going up to 102.6 kg so decided I wanted to get back down to around 85 kg.

I’ve achieved my target through exercise and calorie counting My current weight is 83.4 kg.

I’ve found over the last few weeks eating Around 2750 calories been short Of energy as walk over 10,000 steps play tennis and have a physical job and starting the gym again.

Been eating between 3000-3500 and find more energy but actually Weight is more stable or dropping lightly.

Was I not eating enough and body trying to preserve energy by slowing down.

Sorry for long post.

Eating too little is a mistake that a lot of people make, Tall1732, because your body will dial back its metabolic rate to match output with input. We always advise everyone to eat as much as they can, while still losing weight.

Thanks for advice and it’s definitely true. I’ve been eating more doing the same exercise and started going back to gym and gained the muscle I lost through weight lose and weight around 1/2 -1 kg lighter.

Well done on your weight loss.

Thanks I’m pleased I’ve hit my target. I now get people telling me I’ve lost to much Weight but my BMI is 21.9 which is bang in the middle for my weight and height. I’ve been hitting gym for last two weeks and managed to maintain weight but Also get the muscle I lost through weight lose and no gym since lockdown.

I’m very into exercise now and find I’ve a lot more energy and only need 6 hours sleep wake up by 5/5.30 everyday have half my breakfast then 2/3 mile walk depending on time I’ve got before work. Doesn’t help it’s getting dark in the morning

That's the problem with calorie counting. If you cut carbohydrates, the body loses it's raw material for making fat. Calories from healthy fats and oils are used as fuel by the body, but they don't push up insulin levels, so the don't contribute to making the building blocks of body fat.

Not increasing my calories intake I’ve more energy and increasing exercise by going to gym I’m still slightly losing a tiny weight and having wife’s homemade cafe in diet. Don’t wanna lose any more weight but now looking for muffle building and after 2 weeks of gym can already notice and feel the difference in appearance and able to lift.
