I'm new to this and not sure if it will work for me. I'm a stone overweight and seem to have 'lost the plot' on planning meals etc. My husband is a great cook, so I need to get more organised and stay off the snacks!
I'm not sure where to start in relation to calorie counting but will give it a go.

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. I'd recommend reading our Welcome Newbie post to help you to orientate to the forum, and it's in the Pinned posts section - right-hand-side of the homepage. The NHS 12 week plan is really good, and worth a look.
You mentioned calorie counting - many people us an app - e.g. Myfitnesspal is good, but there are others too - and if you look at the Poll results, you'll see ones that people are using. It does make things much easier.
Do join in with anything you like the look of in the forum, there are lots of Challenges - details of which are also in the Pinned posts section, and in the Events section (below Pinned posts) is the latest thread for the Monday group weigh-in - so do join us for that, if you like the look of it. You can still join in until 18 00 on Friday to be included in this week's stats, so do consider it.

Hi I love my food and have never been big but one stone is a problem because some days you can forget about "that little bit extra" we are carrying around and then when you have a low day you just feel too heavy and dare I say it feel fat.
I'm just taking things easy just eating that little bit less and stopping myself from buying the chocolate and cake.
Yes I do want to eat them and I do miss them but if I loose some weight I know I'll feel happier.
