I thought this blog from myfitnesspal was interesting about the winter months, I've noticed I have been wanting to eat the wrong things again, so far managing to resist, well most of the time! :)

Very good article. Thank you. Seems to be a lot harder to resist comfort food when it gets colder, windier and darker so early. My electric blanket died and that didn't help.

I posted about this subject the other week. I was finding it hard having to switch to a winter diet that was still satisfying. I have started eating hotpot type meals with chicken and veg which are delicious, and you can have a full satisfying bowl. Also porridge with stewed fruit is another warming breakfast or snack.

Yes we've had curry, chilli this week with veg/bean stew on the side. Made a vat of our favourite spicy veg and lentil soup yesterday.Hoping all the veg and fruit we eat now will keep the coughs and colds away too, it must help. One thing I've noticed is that I feel the cold more now I've lost weight, but have been compensating by buying myself new cosy clothes in a much smaller size :)

I am feeling much colder too and it isn't even winter yet. Going to get more soup in. I also think porridge for breakfast is comforting too. Xx

I've also shifted over to cooking more comfort based foods. My husband will be the stand out in the snow grilling the steaks. Have any of you that have mentioned those wonderful recipes posted them, please do I would love to try! Thank you!

I seem Ok with stuff, I tend to crave created my fav foods, I do find soups don't fill me up, I'd rather have a jacket spud and nice filling instead! (I used to want soup, and sand too)

I came home from work, had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and some plum tomatoes, too lazy to cook anything else.

Herbal tea is great too, sometimes I do 'save ' calories for big meals out, I treat cals like s bank account, always have enough, and don't spend what you haven't got

I love that bank account analogy - perfect - save up for a special treat and don't go overdrawn - a great one to remember :)
