Good morning I'm new. just starting my weightloss journey to get my BMI into the healthy range now I am 60 and I want to reduce my risk of developing diabetes after watching a very scary tv programme about the complications.

I will work out my BMR although the basic 1400 calories seems good to me as I used them all yesterday! I think I might stick with it for now as it is a lot less than I would usually have and reduce later on in my journey.
Yes it's the side affects of diabetes that I find horrible time to take action to prevent it starting in the first place. Have a great day.
