...To get me through Winter!!!

My summer diet contained lot's of cottage cheese and yoghurt, but now it's getting colder and darker I want warm or hot food all the time!

Does anyone else feel the same? Winter is a big adaptation!

Yes, indeed, I need to get creative. I am also thinking of stewed fruit, plums with cinnamon maybe?

Maybe I should get a slowcooker, as I often don't feel like cooking when I get in from work...I just need to get organised with some planning....

A slowcooker can of course cook at anytime, I often do stuff overnight soups and stuff, then reheat .

I try to plan my meals so that when I'm late home, it's hardly any work

The same for me, I now crave very warm, hot foods. Made a batch of cabbage beef mince brown rice casserole today to last me 3-4 days. Superhot from the oven, absolutely wonderful and not too calorific (521 per a BIG portion). Drinking very hot tea daily.

I'm hoping winter will be easier as the need for a cold beer on a hot day has now passed lol. home made soups and slow cooker dinners are king, so tasty, healthy and above all else, easy!

We will still grill outside with the snow falling, only fine free range beef and chickens organic. The crock pot is always going with soups and stews. All beef and veggie chili is my favorite. My husband is KETO- no pasta, rice, beans, breads, potato's he has proteins and fats limited veggies. So all the Slow Cooker menus are made to go with his diet and seeing I'm Type 1 I limit my carb's I measure them alone and serve myself. I love the chill and change for different cooking options and different veggies in the market.
