So, Fast Diet begins tomorrow!

Hi, I must have around 3 to 4 stone to get rid of (haven't weighed myself yet).

Everyone on here seems so friendly and inspiring, all helping each other along!

The time has come and I HAVE to do something about the weight. I had a lot of success with the Fast Diet last year (before I stopped it and emptied the supermarket of chocolate!). So I am going to try this diet once again.

First weigh-in is tomorrow morning. Wish me luck?xx

Hi Piglet6

Welcome to the NHS Weight Loss Forum. It's a very friendly, encouraging and helpful site, where we are all on the same journey to health.

If you haven't already, please read the Welcome Newbies post. It's in the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen, (bottom if you're on a mobile). It has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a great place to start. It doesn't give a specific diet plan, but gives guidelines for healthy eating. Also take a look at the Topics section beneath that, for posts that could answer any questions you may have. You may also like to check out how many calories you should have each day using the BMI checker.

Perhaps consider joining in our challenges, they're fun to do and help with motivation.

Join us for the Monday Group weigh-in. If you 'follow' Lowcal and moreless (our very approachable site Admins), you'll be notified when they post the threads. The latest weigh-in thread can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page. The weigh in is entirely voluntary, but I find it helps keep me accountable.

Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration. 😄

Enjoy the forum, and I wish you success with your goals.

Good luck 😀

Welcome and good luck with your weight loss journey. This is a very supportive forum. I know you have been successful fasting previously but I wondered if you had sneaked a little look at the NHS 12 week plan? I only mention it, not because I don't like your choice of diet, but that you don' t finish it after 12 weeks. You continue with the healthy choices and exercise, so hopefully the chocolate aisle is less appealing. If this was something you liked then the welcome newbie post is a good place to start.

Anyway, best of luck for tomorrow and I hope you post soon with successful news. Xx

Hello and welcome 😊

I've not heard of the diet you mention but just want to say how effective calorie counting is 😊 Eating enough to prevent hunger is generally more sustainable long term. 😊

But we are all different and however you do it, good luck and best wishes 😊
