bad headache..

I am in the WW02 of the WLC... and I was feeling fine last week and rather full of energy! this week however, today in particular, I have a really bad headache that followed the exercise class. I wonder if it is because of the higher level of activity? any advice here? would it go away as well?

I would definitely advise you to keep hydrated, especially moreso now that you're exercising, and make sure to eat something (banana works great).. I tend to get headaches when I'm dehydrated, hungry, or overexerted.. either way make sure your body is being supported through your activity and keep at it!

try to watch out for trends in when you get your headaches for a better clue as to what could be causing them, good luck!

I quite agree this the last reply - dehydration is a major cause of headaches - but would just add that if you are returning to exercise or are new to exercise take it easy to begin with. Your body has to adjust and build up strength. (The heart is just another muscle after all and in a sense the same 'rules' apply to building up all other muscles weirdly!). Incidentally if exercise classes don't suit you/continue to cause headaches (which they do with me), have you tried just plain old walking? If you have the time I can't recommend it enough. Last year I started my weight loss program and began walking regularly. I can now walk with ease for 1-3 miles a day and often much more. I have also lost over 2 stone (but more to go). So, my vote is for walking - nothing better on a fine day either, than getting out into the hills/fields. Just fabulous. Good luck

Dehydration causes headaches so hit the water, it also helps to fill you up .

Thank you for all responses :-) I figured out I had strong coffee yesterday and did not really compensate for it with extra water!!!!Still have it today so drinking water and will see what happens!!!thank you all for support :-)

sounds like dehydration may be the cause of your headaches. I find that plain water does not always do the trick once I have got a bit dehydrated - it goes straight through! I use hydration tablets such as Nuun which have electrolyes but no calories when I have been doing strenuous exercise. I also make sure I am hydrated before I start. Hope that helps and keep up the exercise. :-)
