It has been just over a year since I started my weight loss journey and I can honestly say I am on top of the world, It is hands down the best dicision I have ever made. I'm currently 23 years old and 5ft 9, but when I was 19 I started piling on the pounds rapidly gaining a massive 5 stone in the space of around 3 years or less.
I woke up one day and looked in the mirror and thought I cannot go on like this, I was 15 stone 2lbs when I started and my current weight as it stands when I weighed myself on weigh day (Last Saturday) I was 13 stone exactly.
I can't begin to explain the difference in not only my body but my personality, I don't think I realised how deeply unhappy I was with myself before I started losing weight.
I still have 1st 11.5 lbs to go but I know I will get there!
My advice would be.. go for it! Give it all you've got and see the difference!

Well done on losing the weight and staying with it long term, its always good to read positive posts from people who are further along in the journey still going strong! Ive been at this just over 6 months and totally agree its the best decision i ever made. Keep up the good work and you will reach your goals
Thank you, Your comment is much appreciated. I agree it's nice to read some positive posts, Weldone to you aswell I hope you get where you want to be, I'm sure you will!
Just remember a treat every now and then, I have a take away or a 'cheat meal' every Saturday and that keeps me stay on course for the next week! It doesn't work if you completely deprive yourself.
Im the same, moderation is key i think for making this work long term if i make something forbidden, thats the quickest way for me to fall off the wagon.
Well done you! Sometimes when you start a diet, or as I prefer healthy lifestyle it's easy to be full of enthusiasm and good intent then as time goes by you get a little lax and not so committed, so good on you for staying the course. It's nice to hear from somebody who's 'done it' I've only been on the NHS 12 week plan for 8 weeks and although I'm still feeling very positive I know there may come a time when I'm less so. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks very much, I'm chuffed! I have defiantly hit bumps along the way and strayed but I always make sure I get right back on it after I've had a day off or an event etc!
You can do it too, Wish you all the luck in the world! No better feeling! x
