Weighed at gym this morning and 0.5kg gain and I am trying not to get too disappointed. It's so annoying I don't seem to be able to stick to new habits for even 2 whole weeks.
So this is definitely going to be a marathon not a sprint, but I need to have loss next week to keep me following this programme.
Luckily I made root veg soup last night so that's today's lunch sorted rather than grabbing something unhealthy from the sandwich man.

I remember being on Week 3, and I'm going to give you a link to my own Reflections from the 'Re-boot Challenge' that quite a few of us have done - just incase any of the reflections would be helpful to you at this point in your journey:
Weight does fluctuate, so don't let that put you off - you've only gained 0.5 pound, and hopefully you'll have a loss on the scales next week.
Your root veg soup sounds delicious. Are you having some wholemeal bread with it, or maybe you've put some lentils or beans in the soup to make it more filling to tide you over till your next meal?
This plan does work if you stick to it and learn healthy eating habits along the way. I've now lost a total of 22.5lb and am not far away from my ideal weight. Stick with it!
Thanks for that I am not good at being patient! Especially as I need to lose 2 st just to get out of "morbidally obese" such a lovely term
Weight does fluctuate, no matter how good we have been. I weighed myself today and I am actually heavier than I was on Monday and yet I have been so good. I'm trying to not allow it to get to me as I have a few more days before weigh-in next week but this just reminds me why I should never weigh myself more than once a week, it can mess with my head. My weight will probably be very different in a few days so I am going to try and not think about it. I've also got a horrible throat infection again and feeling a bit grumpy and tired so not really feeling it. Please don't let this very slight weight gain bother you too much, a lot can change in a few days time!
Thanks I guess as last week was a maintain I was really hoping for some progress this week and 0.5kg (1lb+) gain was really disappointing.
I totally get this. I also have a problem with sticking to new habits long term. I'm starting over today and trying to get my head in the right place. I also agree that weighing too often is not good for your motivation. I find that my weight fluctuates loads so once a week is definitely the way to go. Stick with it and I'll try to do the same ! Good luck xx
