Hi all, I'm hoping that this site will give me the motivation to lose some weight. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia earlier this year and I know to help my symptoms I need to lose weight and exercise more (but I'm just so tired!!). It's really helpful reading the posts of "normal" people doing positive things.

Hi, sorry about your diagnosis, must be difficult to deal with, but I assure you a lot of people on here are far from 'normal' whatever that is. There are a lot of people with various health conditions, but what everyone has in common is a desire to lose weight. The 12 week healthy eating plan does work and there are lots of different ways to exercise, for instance would swimming be ok with your condition? Someone will be along with an 'official' welcome soon, with all the details you need, so I would just like to say, you've come to the right place for support and good luck!
Heya. I have fibro too. Are you also a member of FMAUK on health unlocked?
I'm hoping losing weight will help my fibro too. I can't do aerobic exercise due to fatigue, but I'm going to have a session with a yoga teacher soon to get a tailored yoga routine. I'm really excited because I've done yoga before when I was slim and I loved it.
