Hi shaz1968 😀 there could be so many reasons. Just a few initial thoughts...

Have you checked your calorie allowance recently with your new weight info. You may need to be eating more.

Are you counting all the calories correctly that enter your mouth. You may be over counting and may not be eating enough.

Have you been eating the same thing every week. Try some new foods. Try eating more fibre to fill you up for longer. Read the 12 week plan again for some hints and tips.

Are drinking plenty of water. Your body sometimes confuses thirst for hunger. Especially in this hot weather.

I hope this helps a little. If I think of anything else I will post again.

Good luck. Claire x

Hormones can play havoc with your food desires too. Keep yourself busy and distracted - clean the car, dig the garden, read a really good book, anything to keep your mind occupied.

Have a hot chocolate before bed and a good protein breakfast - 2 poached eggs on a slice of toast, or a big bowl of porridge for a slow-release fuel to keep you going until lunch. Have a banana or a handful of dried fruit mid-morning if you need a snack. All the best!

Morning Shaz1968

Are you actually eating enough? I am not talking calorie wise by food wise. You can eat more veg to bulk your food intake. Also we have forgotten what thirst feels like as it is often mistaken for hunger and in these hot days we've been having it could be that your dehydrated. Wee should be straw coloured so if it's darker then you may well need more fluids.

If you are eating the correct amount of calories it could be your food choices 😕 You need to eat a good balance of protein, slow release carbohydrates, dairy and fruit and veg 😊 You will lose weight if you stick to calorie limits but you won't sustain if you are hungry 😕

Good luck 😊

Hi, it's hard to answer your question precisely without knowing what you are eating. Normally, feeling hungry is going to be because:

- you need to eat, ie it's time for your next meal!

- you're spending too many calories on sugary treats and not enough on proper food

- alcohol. I always find that a glass of wine makes me feel like I've not eaten for days, even if I've just had a big dinner, so I can't drink alcohol at all when I'm trying to lose weight. You might have that sort of metabolism as well

- you're not eating enough. Is your calorie allowance too low for you?

- eating too much starch in your meals and not enough protein and fat, eg 2 boiled eggs and 1 slice of toast is more filling than 1 boiled egg and 2 slices

- perhaps you are thinking about food too much, and need to distract yourself by doing something absorbing

One thing I'd suggest is that you have 2-3 portions of cooked low-cal vegetables with your lunch and dinner, as these are really filling and contain very few calories. This should help you feel full up for longer.

Finally, it's actually a good thing to feel quite hungry at each meal time, as this is our body's signalling system to eat working properly. But obviously we shouldn't be feeling hungry all day.

Hope this helps.
