Hello everyone, I am new to this but I am an obese 19 year old student. I have decided to make a change but feel like I need some support so I am turning to you guys. No matter how hard I try my weight just doesn't shift so I hope that this time things will be different.
Heavy Newbie: Hello everyone, I am new... - Weight Loss Support
Heavy Newbie
Hi, you're definitely in the right place. Loads of support here. Take yourself over to the nhs weight loss website where you can get the 12 week plan and use the bmi checker to tell you what your calorie allowance is for the day. I also find a calorie counting app is handy (myfitnesspal). Good luck. You can do it! You deserve it x
Hi and welcome Hannah
You've come to exactly the right place for support, there's nothing we like better to do
Take a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom, if you're using a mobile) and have a look at the Welcome Newbies thread, it has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a guide to healthy living, rather that a specific diet plan.
Consider joining any, or all, of our challenges, as they're fun and motivating.
Join us for the monday group weigh-in. If you follow Zest , you'll be notified when she posts the thread. However, the latest thread can always be found in the events section, to the right of the home page.
Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration
Wishing you all the very best
Heya, I struggled for years up until recently aswell. Sometimes just everything clicks into place and you start dropping the weight. The 12 week plan and this forum is a great sensible way to lose weight, as its about permanent lifestyle change, not dieting.
I'm sure you will have lots of success. It might take you a week or two to get into it but stick with it- it works!
All the best.
