So today I dragged my daughter out with me for a 'power walk'. Well, I made sure we strode out and didn't dawdle too much. While we were out I got her to take a pic of me to document my starting point in this process of becoming slimmer and fitter! I am going to buy some bathroom scales this week, I am guessing I am around 17 stone, and my BMI will be horribly high, but hey, let's look forward!

Hey it's not where you start it's where you finish.👍
I started 14 weeks ago at 17.1 so don't worry about the numbers but welcome if it wasn't for this forum I don't think I would be as positive as I am now so you have made the best start. 😊
Once you know your weight look up your BMI on week 1 of the 12 week plan if you are going to be doing that one. That will tell you how many calories to aim for I have taken the bottom of this range in case my calorie counting is off.
I fill in my day calories, steps etc on the plan and have invested in a fitness tracker to help me on my journey but I know a lot of people on here use myfitnesspal off the net and that's free.
Weigh everything that needs to be especially cereal, up the steps as you are power walking now and drink around 1.5 litres of water a day this I keep forgetting.
Look up the newbies post on the right hand side of the screen everything is explained on there.
Good Luck and welcome to the forum Bev⭐️
