But I will fight more for tomorrow , I somehow went past the calories 1678 rather than 1400 . Talk about a Happy Monday 😊

I've been walking for more than 1 h + 30 min of dancing and I drank 2l of water !

Hope you'all doing well !

Roxi

If your calories were under 2000 and you have been pretty active, you will still lose a little weight. Even if your weight stays the same, it might be because you are building stronger muscles. Just remember, this is not a race - just a long-term adjustment to our eating habits, so keep going Roxi, you will get there!

Have you checked on the BMI calculator what your personal calorie allowance should be? 1400 is just a guide, you might still be within your range, especially if you are active.

Nope I haven't , thought 1400 is for everybody ! I will check it right away !

Thanx for the tip Caz ❤️

Wow , now I'm confuse , it says that I should have more than 2000kcals/day .

Isn't that alot ?

it all depends on your height, how much you have to lose etc. if you don't eat enough you won't lose and if you are hungry you are more likely not to stick to it.

I understand , well I better eat cause I really want this change ! I really do ❤️

Thank you Caz28

Try keeping a diary and record daily/weekly calories, excercise, how you feel eg satisfied, hungry, happy, low, and weight change, take measurements, sometimes you lose inches but not pounds, that way you can look back and see what's working or not and adjust accordingly. Good luck!

Roxi, I had 9 stone to lose at the beginning of my weight loss journey and I could eat loads, I think it was about 1900 calories and I lost consistently by eating at the middle of the range that the BMI thingy suggested.

Even now with just 2stone to lose, I am keeping my calories as high as I can get away with - I don't want my body to think I am starving and then go into "hold onto all the fat" mode!

I understand , I will have adapt then !

I will try to stick at 1900 and sometimes 2000 .

Usually at work I walk 10.000 steps , 6 days a week I work , 3 days off . In those 6 I usually walk over 60.000 steps , some kind of a costumer service at Gatwick Airport so If I do as I want the dancing each day for 40 min + 2 times a week I want to run , I think it's a pretty good beggining . Then yes , 2000 cals are ringing the bell in my head but without any exercise 2000 is alot !

Thank you for sharing LessToLose ❤️❤️❤️

Give it a try and see if it works, fingers crossed it does. Sounds like your body needs some fuel and that is why you found it difficult sticking to 1400.

I made the same mistake at the beginning of my journey - I was trying to eat 1400 calories and felt really, really hungry and so tired, I nearly gave up.

Luckily I posted here and I was put right and my weight loss has been really consistent.

Have a great week!

Thank you ! I will see how will it be at the end of the week ❤️

LessToLose silly question ... do you know what 5 a day is on the chart ? 😕

LessToLose profile image
LessToLose4lbsRestart April 2024 in reply toRoxiGoesSkinny

Not a silly question at all - it refers to our fruit and veg consumption, we are to aim for 5 different fruit and veggies a day for optimum health, or more if you can manage!

Wow RoxiGoesSkinny with all this exercise and your 2000 calories I can't see why this wouldn't work. Well done I will keep an eye on you to inspire me also. I've gone back to week 1 of the NHS, so here goes. Plus I'll do what you've done and check my calorie intake. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Good luck, let's see how we get on this week 👏👏

Cockneyblue morning !

You're very welcome ! For me counting calories helps as I will have an idea of what I am doing and I will be aware of what I've done wrong or good !

The jogging part I hate but gotta step out of my comfort zone , this week my goal is to exercise daily even though I'm walking 10.000 steps !

Drink a lot of water , water is like a little miracle bonus in your diet and in the morning 500 mls of water before eating and even brushing your teeth , it will help with digestion , eliminating toxines from your body , better skin , takes the hunger away , you'll feel full after a few bits of your breakfast and you will feel more energetic !

Trust me : I've tested this on myself and it works ❤️🎉

I wish you good luck and strenght in your journey and please keep us posted and if you need any help , I'm here 💞
