Here is a page from NHS Choices about trackers and technology, but basically the NHS 12 week plan is recommended to be used alongside a tracker - and many of us use Myfitnesspal (MFP), and some use the manual logging using the Nutracheck calorie facility.

The recent Poll survey also shows what many people are using, if you look at those results - MFP came out as the most commonly used app by most of the members of this community (who completed the Poll).

No, I use my fitness pal app. But you have to check the nutritional info as sometimes it's wrong. Also they set your calorie count at 1,200 a day. I'd change it to whatever the BMI calculator on here tells you. It's worked for me so far
