Hi PotterBook,

I'm wondering if you've seen our Welcome Newbie post yet?  I'm glad you're getting used to what a stone is - but if you are considering joining our Monday group weigh-in, we would go by whatever measure you cared to share - i.e. pounds, or stones and pounds, or kg.  You could stick to pounds if you wanted.

I realise you might not know what Monday group I'm referring to, and I'd like to post 2 links - one to the Welcome Newbie thread - and say 'Welcome' to our Weight Loss NHS forum, and secondly give you a link to today's Monday group thread:

Do join in with anything you like the look of, and otherwise I hope we'll see you around and about in the forum.

Lowcal :-)

Hi PotterBook ,

You may also find that people on here use kilograms too, I personally use st and lbs but

1kg is 2.2lb

Have a good afternoon

It took me awhile to get used to the stone thing as well.  Unfortunately, the set of scales my husband had have stones or kilograms.  I've decided stones and pounds make more sense to me than kilos so I've gone with the stones.  I also like that getting into the next stone down is a bit more of a milestone (as it were!)

Where do you hail from?  I come from Salt Lake City originally. :)

Now THAT makes sense!! Thank you! I like the idea of making the new Stone a mini-goal.

I come from New York City originally, now I reside in Massachusetts.

Not what you're looking for?
