Junk food

I would love to lose some weight, but I can't stop eating junk food :-(  why I do this to myself????

I'm strongly of the view that it is because we get addicted to it and it takes a lot of will power to break that addiction. I am in wk4 now. After injuring myself I just had the last stitches out today - and immediately felt the need to tuck into extra foods. Curiously some things like Walkers SunBites which I used to eat 3 or 4 bags of in a row seemed unpleasantly salty after 4 weeks of abstinence. But you can do it - there are lots of people on here who have resolved to be kinder to themselves and kicked the habit. I hope I will become one of them, in a few more weeks. We slip up, but keep on trying. Good luck!

What's your motivation keep this is mind when you fancy junk food. I just keep picturing the new number on the scales and tried my bikini on this motivates me as it shows how much work needs to be done!

And remember it may taste nice for a few minutes but it's a lifetime on the hips or stomach if your like me and is taking you further from your goals! It's not worth it!

I've just advised this to someone else Sophia, have a look at the threads of asics , she has very successfully cured her addiction to junk food by setting herself daily challenges. She only pledges to keep to them, one day at a time and has managed to steer clear of "forbidden fruits" for ages (mostly).

I too have a weakness for 'junk' 😕 I was brought up with traditional meat and two veg and always envied my friends sausage/corned beef /chips etc 

I have chosen to restrict them whilst losing weight as it simply is not worth the calories 😕 But i do still have them as s treat. 

I have also worked on reducing sugar, and am finding even my much loved favourites such as mini bounty tastes very very sweet 😕

Good luck, you will find a solution. Remember, if you get too hungry, or tired, your brain will tell you you need the 'instant' fix but YOU are in control not your brain!! Lol 😊
