Good morning miamia,

Yes, it is so hard to make sure you do keep focused.

I can suggest you plan and prepare every meal in advance so that you do not get caught out and end up having things you ought not to?

Yesterday I did not prepare the salad I was going to have for lunch as I had to rush out, picked up some brazil nuts to munch on, on my way out. Scoffed the lot before I got even 10 minutes down the road.

It was only when I stopped the car and looked at the nutrition on the label that I realised I had consumed the best part of 500 calories!! Plus they are high in fat, (50gms). Normally I would have put this down as just a healthy snack, which for 10gms it is, but I ate 80gms so that was like the equivalent of a meal.

I did compensate by not having lunch but it goes to show how easy it is to slip up, so plan plan plan and in 6 weeks you will lose that stone!!

Did something similar myself last week kantara71 .  Did a lot of walking am, rushed in for a quick snack, (put an egg into my leek soup) dashed out to a meeting.  When I got there it was cakes on the table.  Wouldn't normally go for it as I do not like 95% of cakes.  (Love the remaining 5%!  NOT a saint.). But sat and happily sampled both types.  With a proper lunch inside me, I would have said no easily.  I did enjoy them, which is interesting because they weren't even good cakes.  Too dry.  Thank goodness they were small slices.  Big enough to shut me up and small enough to get away with!  So still lost my 2lbs this week.  Went home and had the planned lunch when I got in.  I knew once I'd started unplanned or half planned eating, there was a big fall in front of me, if I didn't get back to the plan quickly.  So damage control was there.  Ooh, those nuts.  Do love them, but sometimes they are just so dangerous to be around!

Hi miamia , I do love a project.  Extra exciting when the project is yourself!  I would never be able to lose a stone in 6 weeks.  12lbs would be my absolute max, no matter what I did.  Still that might be good enough.  "Slim" has to be a range, not a single point on the graph/scales.  What's the one key outfit, you want to see yourself looking good in?  With me, it's always the jeans!

Not what you're looking for?
