Hi Emilia88,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS community forum.  I'd like to give you the link to our Welcome Newbie post, which moreless  has put together:

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

There is a Monday group weigh-in, if you'd like to join us for that, you'd be very welcome!

Also, check out the Pinned Post for details of current challenges which are going on.  That is in the top right-hand-side of the homepage.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Hope you're enjoying the Couch to 5k - that's great exercise, and well done for making a start with your diet and health.

Good luck with everything.

Lowcal :-)

Am I the only one here who can't do metric measurements!  I have to look them up on a Kilos to lbs page to know what I am reading.  It is my age of course - I spent my primary school years learning £SD, Yds, Ft & Ins and Lbs / Ozs, and Pints Quarts and Gallons.  Just got it all mastered and they went and changed everything!

Anyhow - you can lose kilos or pounds, (whichever)...by keeping track of those calories on an online diary like Myfitnesspal or Nutracheck and by reading all of the inspiring success stories on this and other forums.  Ditching the Chocolate and Wine is an excellent move, and you sound very determined, so we are looking forward to hearing how you get on!

I'm in a similar position, but just getting to the end of my 2nd week. Whilst I've had less chocolate, I haven't had to avoid it completely to fit my calorie allowance. I find a Nakd cocoa crunch bar is a healthy and chocolatey indulgence. On the other hand I have avoided crisps completely - just not filling enough to be worth the calories. More than 2 kg gone already.

I have had no choc. No crisps. No wine. Still no sign on scales!!!

But 1 cm off waist. And feeling kind if cleaner inside.....

Hello Emilia88, try having blueberries & blackberries with oatabix for your breakfast and change it around a bit with fruit for your breakfast and some exercise helps and now and again have a treat but don't go mad so keep it going and ya it is hard but we can do it its all about willpower so good luck 👍
