Where in the world?
Hi I'm in beautiful Devon. Xx
I have never been to Devon, I believe it is gorgeous though one day I will visit and see for myself
I'm in West Sussex, right on the coast, but am originally from Salt Lake City, UT (western US).
Coimbra, Portugal.
Wow, long way away
Love Portugal 😊 We're just back from Lisbon 😊 I still dream of Pastel de Nata ❤️
I blame the pastel de nata for a good bit of this weight I am now trying to loose!
Hi!
I've been to Lisbon 5 times and I feel like Portugal is where I will end up living. I've never felt drawn to a place as much as I do there.
Next year I'm planning to go a bit south of Lisbon for my 40th birthday, around the Setubal area. I already can't wait and am hoping to shift at least a few of my 5 stones by then so I can really make the most of it.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but how do find living there, do you love it? Is Portuguese easier to pick up when you're immersed in it? (I find it an incredibly difficult language to learn)
Sylvia x
I can certainly recommend living here, the people are incredibly friendly, the countryside is spectacular and the weather is good. You can choose a simple and uncomplicated life in the small mountain villages to the north, a busy social life in the cities, or a sun worshipers beach life in the south, but as you can drive from top to bottom in 5 hours (and side to side in 2) you are never far from any of them. I live in the mountains but am only 45 min drive from Coimbra, a truly delightful city. In the south almost everyone speaks english, but in the north you really need to learn to speak portuguese and the grammar is difficult unless you can already speak a romance language. Most of the local councils give free portuguese lessons to foreigners and native speakers are so patient and encouraging that it is not difficult to find someone to practice on. Let me know if you plan to visit Coimbra and I will show you around. Marian x
Originally from Northern Ireland but have been living in Hampshire for 2 years.
Hello, im in Sunny Glasgow....well its sunny just now lol
I am another from (sometimes) sunny Devon - might be something to do with all that lovely clotted cream we have down here.....
Hi I'm in Edinburgh in bonnie Scotland 😁👍
The garden of England...Kent. However born and raised in North London, still love it but wouldn't want to live there anymore.
There's a few of us who like to have the two together..... plus a bit of high-sugar content Jam - but definitely on special occasions or on holiday only!!
(Oh what a special treat is a Devon Cream Tea, naughty though it is)!
Hi, I'm from London x

Sunny but bitterly cold NE Scotland ❄️☃ 😊
Im from the not so sunny Carlisle in Cumbria
South Birmingham, on the Warwickshire border
I'm exiled in Birmingham. Lovely friendly people but I sooo miss London and Surrey.
Australia, where the sun is supposed to shine. Except today. Grey, drizzling and muggy.
Reading in Berkshire, oh and the suns out 😆
I live near Oxford but I am originally from Maidenhead in Berkshire so not moved too far!
Live in 'sarf' London and love it to bits 😊😊
Rural Essex. It's really beautiful, no, really it is! People think Essex is like TOWIE, but rural Essex is a different story.
I lived in Billericay for a couple of years - lovely place
live in the rainy black forest, Germany
oh, yes, spring and all the trees blooming
Any pollen??
Birches are rich in pollen, carpinus betulus as well but slowly going down. the more you come into the lowlands the blossom will have ceased, higher up still rich at pollinating the trees...fagus sylvatica and popolus nigra well pollinating... and the birches not to forget.... hope i didn't miss the worst!
Oh! Was wondering since I have REALLY BAD allergies to pollen!
Wait three weeks, then you should be safe... in the black forest the birches often pollinating for 3 weeks and they have come after the carpinus betulus. Have a pleasant trip, there are long stretches for mountain biking, hiking and relaxed walks... end of may/mid june the gras might be blooming... often people prefer the end of september to end of october time passage to be relaxed....
Havant in Hampshire, near West Sussex border, near coast, countryside, lovely sunny morning.
Originally from Leicester, roots near Manchester.
The beautiful countryside of south Derbyshire!
I'm in Swansea, Wales x
Originally, I am from Southampton, England, but I am currently undertaking the 12 week weight loss programme all the way from Catalonia, Spain -- fifty miles outside of Barcelona. I've been living here since October 2015, working as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language classroom assistant!
Oooooh I'm off to Barcelona 4 weeks today 😊
Wow! It's your first time there? It's an incredible city -- and this time of year is especially nice. ☺️ Make sure you head to Montjuic to watch a Magic Fountain Show in an evening, and later, climb up the steps to the National Museum to see some incredible views across the entire city! Enjoy!
Thank you kirstyfbates
I have been before (my sister lives 60km north in L'Escala) but it's my daughter's first time 😊 Lucky girl is staying for a MONTH going to International Bar School (cocktails etc not Law!!! Lol 😂)
So the plan is to help her get her bearings then head up to Parc Guell in the afternoon. Then we go to L'Escala for the weekend before she returns to Barcelona. 😊 (I'm staying another week with my sister, hoping to be swimsuit ready!!)
I will pass on your message, always good to hear of different things to do 😊
I'm in Melbourne Australia. Just visited the black forest last week- had a 3 week trip through Neatherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. We are heading into winter here. Although it is meant to be 24c today.
I'm in London, Barnet.

Hi from another South Londoner
I'm from a very warm and sunny Leyland in Lancashire. Started off in Kent, moved to Northampton and then on to Derbyshire before settling down here.
