Miserable.
Hi G1nger,
Could your weight gain be as a result of an inactive lifestyle? Are you indoors a lot? Whilst we get depressed looking in the mirror, the solution to the problem can involve a whole re-think of the way we live. Are you bored, or depressed? Is there anything you can plan to make your life more interesting, to keep you busy? Once you start to "get in the driving seat" and feel more in control, the food control becomes so much easier. Losing weight and tracking what you eat is not difficult, but finding the motivation and the reason to do it is the hard bit. Do read other people's posts on this forum for inspiration! Good luck!
Hi G1nger , I think you have found the right place for good advice, help and support. I started last week on the NHS 12 week plan and taking part here where I can and I have found it really helps. About five years ago I used to weight 76kg and now 114.5kg. I've spent lots of time beating myself up about it, but last week decided to actually do something about it, and I can already see the results. Good luck, think positively about the future, I think you know you can do it, and we are all here to support you.
You're on here and that is a big step that shows you want to do something about it. Good luck x
Hi G1nger,
Wishing you a very warm welcome to the Weight Loss NHS community forum, and I'd like to give you the link to our Welcome Newbie post:

I hope you'll join in any things that interest you, and hopefully that you're feel better being part of a supportive and friendly forum - hope you have a good week. I would recommend having a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as it is really easy to follow, and a good structure - and hopefully you'll be able to feel more positive about your wardrobe if you embark on a plan to eat healthily and lose some weight.
Have a good week.

Hi G1nger. Sorry you feel that way. I am sure this forum will help to get you motivated. There are lots of people who have all different stories to tell about their weight loss journeys. Hopefully following the 12 week plan will help you to change your habits. I know as you say you are the only person that can do it but it does help to have support and advice and I am sure you will find it here.
Thank you all for your kind replies of encouragement, I don't want to sound pitiful but I do find it hard to talk to anyone about what to me is a big problem. I am now going to try the nhs diets and your weighing group. Thank you all so much.
Nothing else to add but want to send you very best wishes 😊
A problem shared is a problem halved - I think that is the saying. Monday weighing group is great. Hope to see you there
Well done on taking the first step, G1inger - your journey starts here. Good luck!
Hi G1nger, welcome to the forum we're all in or have been in the same boat here and you'll find plenty of support, advice and understanding.

Hi G1nger , There is nothing to beat getting back into all your old favourite clothes plus a few new bargains to look bang on trend. And that is the future, if you can organise yourself and stay organised! I know because I have gone from a size 24 to a 14. It was lovely 'shopping in the attic' for another outfit, because what I was now wearing was too big again! Just got to get rid of all those hideous outfits I bought at my biggest, because I could get into them and they didn't look terrible. Now I go for comfort and/or looking great! It's like the transformation scene in Cinderella. In my head anyway. Good luck with that first week and with the scales. See you round the forum, Venus.
I started the programme yesterday after seeing photos of myself on holiday and I want to stay healthy as I approach my 60's, retiring isn't an option! I have got my husband on board too so that we are healthier as a family.
