Hi, my name is Lisa, I've joined today and downloaded the 12 week plan. I'm struggling to find my way around, but hoping that this community will help with my weight loss journey. I have quite a bit to lose (approximately 5 stone). Do I weigh in somewhere on here?

Looking forward to being a loser 😊

Hi there, I am new to this community too. Started last week and managed to lose 1kilo so here's hoping it will continue. Happy to lose it gradually rather than starve myself and end up crashing :) Good luck and all the best.

Hi Lisa,

I'm glad you found your way to our Monday group weigh-in session, and a warm welcome to the forum as well. I've given you the link to the Welcome Newbie post, but it's here - incase you didn't see it:

Just remember - do this one day at a time. Plan your meals, make sure you have healthy snacks, herbal or fruit teas, fruit and veg to hand and put out of sight or freeze tempting cakes, crisps, sweets puds etc. If you have a bad day for any reason, just start again in the morning. Don't be put off by how much you have to lose - just take lots of little steps and you will get there.

Hi Lisa,

I'm into my second day now and I can't believe the help I've had so far on these forums.

I posted a question regarding working out calories and several people pointed me in the direction of a website which is free, and which works out calories, and also allows you to convert recipes etc. 'myfitnesspal' is the one to look for. It even adds up the calories to help you get your daily totals for the daily tracker.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but has been a brilliant tip from other forum users. (Thanks Guys xxx)
