Hi everyone, I have just signed up to Weight loss NHS. I need to lose around 3 1/2 stone. I have been to every slimming club known and always lose then gain! I would love to lose this weight for good. Looking forward to getting started and becoming more healthy.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am in week 5 now and have been losing weight consistently at around 2lbs a week. There is great support on here and some excellent tips. I read as much as I can and find that I am learning new stuff all of the time. Good luck in your quest to lose the three stone plus, you can do it! John ;-)

Hello jojo 😊 I am with you on the yoyo or roller coaster of dieting! I have now given up 'dieting' and am following a 'healthy eating plan' run by my local hospital, (very similar to nhs12 week plan) , 2 stone+ off, about half way to goal, but really starting to believe it will be me for life! self belief is the key 😊 Good luck 😊

Hi Jojo

If, like me, you've loads of low fat/low cal, healthy eating cook books that you never look at why not try this. My husband and I went through them all and made a list of all the recipes we fancied and are slowly working our way through them, giving marks out of 10 (if you haven't got the books there are always recipes online). We like to try 1 or 2 new recipes a week and have found that this really works. In fact we haven't found a recipe we haven't liked yet and haven't got bored with the healthy eating as we have had so much variety. If you are the only one in the family that needs to lose weight you can adjust the portion sizes accordingly, knowing that at least they are eating healthy meals. Good luck.
