New Beginnings

I weighed myself on Sunday for the first time on Sunday and had the shock of my life. Time for a change. I’ve downloaded the NHS Better Health Weight Loss app and I’m on day 3.

I’ve started by cutting out bread which is one of my weaknesses. I’ve also started drinking plenty of water and sticking to a daily calorie allowance.

The first day was tough - I had a horrific headache in the evening but by yesterday afternoon I felt much better.

Normally by 3-4pm I’m yawning my head off and feel exhausted but I felt full of energy.

I’ve also downloaded the Active 10 app and I’ve completed 20 min walks each day.

I’ve got a long way to go - would really like to lose 3 - 4 stone but it’s a start.

I am determined to keep this up.

Hello and welcome to the weight loss forum. Please have a good read of the Pinned Post “Welcome Newbies”. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.

Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.

If you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.

The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts under “Events”

I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.

The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.

If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.

I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉

Hi anniefleur and welcome to the forum. May I suggest that you follow all the links you've been sent in your welcome package. As I mentioned to Jacqui it's best to use the website as opposed to the app.

I hope you join the Daily Diary, there's lots of delicious ideas there. When you decide which day, join one of the weekly weigh ins. Good luck with your weight loss journey.
