Myfitnesspal question

Hello, I've been using MFP for 10 days now. If I put my exercise in, it deducts the calories burned from my daily consumption. I can't help thinking this isn't the way to go when you are actively trying to lose weight. Surely I should stick to eg 1200 cals, and any I burn through exercise is a bonus?

Hi Knitsandcodes,

Most people stick to their calorie range and have the exercise as a 'bonus' - but people do vary in their preferences regarding that. There have been several previous posts about this subject, and it reflects varied opinions.

Here is a link to a previous thread that has a few opinions in it about this issue:

I think I can sense you have a preference from what you said, so maybe go with your gut instinct on it.
